Fundraising
My words can help you raise thousands of pounds for your cause.
As a trusts and foundations fundraiser, I have raised several millions of pounds for charitable organisations. This has included playing a central role (one of two paid fundraisers) in tripling a charity’s income over two years, from around £400,000 to over £1.2m.
I’ve secured grants from a wide range of funders including the National Lottery Community Fund, the Henry Smith Charity, the Lloyds Bank Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation, and many more. I also have considerable experience in securing funds from statutory sources, such as Oxfordshire County Council. Many funds have been multi-year or large grants, e.g. a grant of ~£400,000 for a consortium of four organisations.
My fundraising experience spans bid writing and supporter engagement (trusts and foundations fundraising, supporter appeals, donor communications, flyers, web content, social media, etc.).
Fundraising services include:
Prospect research and grant strategy
Bid writing review/recommendations
Bid writing and report writing
Editing funding bids/reports
Donor stewardship
Fundraising appeals and donor communication
I am adept at writing impactful and persuasive copy. I am used to managing the grants process - overseeing grant strategies and timelines, building relationships with funders, and working with teams to create compelling bids and reports. I have experience of managing volunteer fundraisers and working with clients and volunteers to bring a charity’s work to life. In addition to bid writing, I can also work with you on fundraising appeals and charity communications. Previous successes include a charity appeal that raised over £32,000.
